One-to-One Yoga near Beckenham: A Practice Shaped Around You

Yoga does not have to mean a busy class, trying to keep up, or feeling that you need to be flexible before you begin.

A one-to-one yoga session gives you quiet, personal time to move, stretch, breathe and relax at your own pace.

Amy offers traditional, gentle one-to-one yoga from her private studio in Shortlands, close to Bromley and Beckenham.

Yoga that begins with you

Everyone comes to yoga for a different reason. You may be completely new to yoga, returning after time away, or looking for a calmer way to move and unwind.

Before the session, Amy will talk with you about what you would like from your practice, your experience and anything that feels important to you. She then shapes the session around you, rather than asking you to follow a fixed group-class plan.

There is no pressure to achieve a particular pose. The focus is on gentle movement, breathing, relaxation and finding what feels comfortable for your body.

Time to practise at your own pace

One-to-one yoga gives you time to ask questions, take breaks and move more slowly when you need to. The teacher and student collaborate to design a short practice that is just right for where you are.

It can be a good fit if you feel unsure about joining a class, prefer individual attention, or simply want a quieter experience. Amy can adapt the practice as you go, so it remains supportive and manageable.

After your session, Amy will send you a copy of your personalised practice to help you continue independently at home. Ideally you will do this short practice daily, or as often as possible. It’s this consistent regular practice where the yoga magic can really happen!

A private studio in Shortlands

Sessions take place in Amy’s peaceful, appointment-only studio in Shortlands. It is a private space where you can focus on yourself without the distraction of a busy class.

You do not need specialist yoga clothes or lots of equipment. Just wear something comfortable that allows you to move easily.

If you would like to ask a question before booking, you are welcome to send Amy a WhatsApp message. She can talk through what you are looking for and whether one-to-one yoga feels right for you.
